Victoria carried 10-month-old Harper, who was sporting a ruffled white onesie and matching bandana, on her hip and a huge tote bag occupied her other arm. While nine year old Romeo, wearing a simple T-shirt and dark jeans. walked briskly in front of them. 

However with two children to keep an eye on and a tricky wooden terrain to negotiate, Victoria decided to forgo her heels and instead opted for black flat sandals.

Victoria’s other children, sons Brooklyn and Cruz, were nowhere to be seen, perhaps spending the day with their LA Galaxy player father.

The couple have four children and will celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary in July!

Victoria Beckham insists that despite appearances, she is far from miserable. In a frank chat with German Interview magazine, the designer, 38, says that she is aware that the vast majority see her as sour-faced, but doesn’t let it get to her.

‘Yes, I created this persona and I’m very different from that, I don’t feel like I have to scream and shout about it - I know I am a happy person. So I don’t get upset when people comment on the fact that I look quite miserable all the time… But people think I am. And you know, sometimes I think the same thing when I look at the pictures.’

Her pout and love of designer clothes landed Victoria with the moniker Posh during her Spice Girls days. During the interview, Mrs Beckham recalls her singing days back in the Nineties with fondness, but admits that she has truly come into her own since ditching the microphone and turning her hand to designing.

‘Was music my talent really? No, I don’t think I was particularly talented. With the other girls, the five of us all really worked together. But talented? I sound a bit odd to myself.’

In another, she reads E.M. Forster’s novel The Longest Journey with a leather jacket covering her shoulders.

David Beckham Magazine Interview:

In his interview; David insists that despite appearances, he’s a ‘shy’ man, and has never been interested in fame or money.

‘I never thought about the money, the fame - it never interested me and it doesn’t interest me now. None of that has ever excited me…How would I sum myself up? I don’t know, I prefer other people to do that. Erm, a little bit shy. I don’t know what to say, I hate describing myself.’

David, who with wife Victoria is worth £165million, also spoke about his marriage, insisting that while he and Victoria have different interests, they always make time for one another.

‘She comes home and shows me what she’s been doing all day and what exciting dresses and bags she’s got coming through. And then I say something boring like “I got kicked today. But we listen to each other. We try to go out at least once a week, just the two of us, a quiet dinner somewhere. It’s not about wearing a nice dress or a nice suit. It’s just going out and chatting and having some time together.’

David displays his myriad of tattoos in the shoot for Elle, which sees him become the publication’s first solo male cover star. The 37-year-old sportsman, clad in a simple grey t-shirt, scowls artfully as one hand comes to rest on his carefully coiffured hair.

While in another picture, Beckham shows off his finely-honed body and ‘six pack’ as he strides out of a pool - complete with soaking wet jeans.

The sportsman, who plays for LA Galaxy, declared last month that he was ‘honoured’ to have the ‘really exciting’ opportunity to be on the cover of July Elle.

Editor-in-chief Lorraine Candy said: ‘David Beckham is a national hero… He is an icon and Elle is known for featuring icons on its cover. This is a first for us on the newsstand and I believe he is loved by men and women alike. Anyway, who doesn’t want to see a picture of one of the world’s most handsome men on the front cover of a magazine? It will be a collector’s issue.’

Describing his signature style: ‘British gentleman. At my age, now, my style has gone that way; the way I dress, my hair. I just think it’s a great look for a man. For me, the English gentleman look is a nice suit, nice tie, nice shoes - and I think long johns underneath.’
